As mentioned, Jake and I got married at the very end of October. The plan was to hold off on a honeymoon and take an extended trip to Asia. Although this is still happening as well, it worked out that we were able to visit my friend Jenny in St. Croix. Jenny and I were roommates my freshman year of college and she grew up on St. Croix. She is in the middle of her residency in Florida but had a one week break in november. We stayed at her mom’s amazing bungalow and were treated to the best tours of the island.
I know this is written on a lot of photography blogs, but of course a resolution of mine this year is to take more personal photos of just life in general, and secondly, to do something with them besides upload them to a folder and never open it again—i have been bad about this!
here are a few photographs from our recent trip to st. croix. : ) thank you jenny and karen for hosting us and being such wonderful tour guides!

on our way to the “baths.” we hiked around the curve in the photograph, and on the other side there is an area where the water splashes over and forms these amazing rocky pools.
