Although it is not a secret anymore, we are excited to annouce that we are expecting our first little one in early October! We found out today that it is a boy! Although I did not have any strong hunches either way, I have to say I was still a little surprised at a boy : ) But so excited!

We are headed to Atlanta tomorrow to photograph Jewels and Wes’ wedding, but have been busy, busy with shoots, so stay tuned for many more posts and of course some possible updates on baby BOY : )

megan + john: a citadel wedding in downtown charleston

Megan and John were married a few weeks ago at the Summerall Chapel at the Citadel. John went to the Citadel and met Megan while she was attending the College of Charleston, so they knew they wanted to incorporate that! After their sweet ceremony at the Summerall Chapel, Megan and John had their reception at the Citadel Alumni Center. Palmetto Soul had everyone dancing until the end of the night! Congrats Megan and John : )

Since Megan and John were married this past weekend at the Citadel, I can now share her bridal portraits! Megan—you were so much fun to work with : ) I met up with Megan and her mom a couple weeks before the wedding to take some bridal portraits at the Legare Waring House. We had a gorgeous day and Megan looked so fabulous in her dress! Her makeup was done by Kelly Campbell with Charleston On-Site Makeup and her lovely hair was prepared by the ladies at Velvet Salon.

amber + jerad: a magnolia plantation wedding

Amber and Jerad were married a couple weeks ago at Magnolia Plantation at the Carriage House. Their ceremony was late morning, and they had the most gorgeous mild day : ) Toni and Lori with Blue Planet Green Events did a fabulous job making sure the day went smoothly for Amber and Jerad. Amber spent a lot of time working on so many of the little details for the day and the carriage house looked great!

After eating and partying with their guests, we stepped out for some portraits of the two of them. Amber and Jerad left in an amazing vintage Mustang! We were able to grab a few more shots as they were leaving the plantation. Congrats Amber and Jerad—we both had such a great time getting to know both of you!

Amber and Jerad did not want to see each other before the ceremony, but instead they backed up to each other and held hands : )

Instead of a unity candle, Amber and Jerad made a unity painting! They included their parents as well.

Jerad is a huge fan of the ThunderCats (Amber actually even gifted him before the wedding his own personalized ThunderCats jersey), so the groomsmen each decided they would take on their own superhero persona under their suits!

CONGRATS amber + jerad!! hope your honeymoon in Italy was amazing : )

Since Amber and Jerad were married yesterday at Magnolia Plantation, I can post Amber’s bridal portraits that were also taken at the plantation! Amber and her mom drove down from Charlotte for the portrait, and we had the most gorgeous day at Magnolia. Even the animals were out and playing around. Amber must be a natural with animals as while we were taking some shots by the fence, they both came over to say hello!

Congrats Amber and Jerad—looking forward to posting your fun wedding soon : )

lindsay + pat: a charleston engagement photography session

I met up with Lindsay and Pat a couple weeks ago in downtown Charleston after a couple rainy afternoons, but thankfully the rain passed and we had a nice afternoon! Lindsay and Pat are high school sweethearts : ) They have been together for many years and are super sweet together. I am excited to photograph their wedding in late November at the Cotton Dock at Boone Hall Plantation!

I was so excited when Jeny and John told me they were expecting! I photographed their wedding almost 2 years ago, so it was great to see them again and their adorable new addition : ) She was such a sweet girl and so alert! Big sister pup Bella was very attentive and protective of Miss Eleanor.

I had such a fun time with Ruth and Thomas during their engagement session last week at Cypress Gardens and by the water. Thomas is an Air Force pilot, so I loved how Ruth incorporated that into their fun save-the-dates! I am looking forward to photographing their wedding this June at the South Carolina Aquarium!
